Ahosi means "Kings Wives"... This name belongs to the Dahomey Warrior Women of Benin.

The Dahomey (ahosi or minos) warriors were one of the fiercest female warriors in all of history. These women were strong, fearless, militant, and regal.

The black panther movie used the Ahosi warriors as inspiration for the all female Guard "Dora Milaje" These Kings Wives turned Warriors women for their country were a site to be seen and embodied women taking control of their fate and protecting what's theirs.
